Dragons’ Den is one of BBC TWO’s biggest brands. It’s where budding entrepreneurs get three minutes to pitch their business ideas to five multi-millionaires willing to invest their own cash.
We’re looking for experienced Assistant Producers who oversee the work of production teams as well as generate creative ideas and stories helping our programme to be one of the most talked about on the channel.
Working as part of an established production team you will be responsible for assessing programme material and contributors as well as come up with creative ideas and undertake in-dept research. From your research, you will provide concise and accurate reports or summaries as well as detailed briefing notes both in writing and verbally. Managing a variety of relationships both internally and externally you will ensure that our resources are used efficiently and effectively within budgets and time constraints.

The Ideal Candidate
People working on Dragons’ Den are a talented, experienced and creative bunch. To join them it’s really important you have the following:
- Previous Assistant Producer experience in television
- Experience sourcing contributors under tight deadlines
- Experience of managing a team
- Creativity & ideas – experience of suggesting and researching creative, programme ideas and treatments suitable for television
- Strong communication skills and used to providing information in written formats
- A strong background in making factual programmes
- A journalistic inquisitive eye for detail
A superb communicator with diplomacy and discretion, you will have excellent inter-personal, influencing and persuading and teamworking skills. You will have the ability to remain calm, organised and focused under pressure with excellent attention to detail. Used to making decisions and deploying resources effectively you will know our audience and have a passion for our output.
