Assistant Studio Resource Manager, BBC Studioworks
The Assistant Resource Manager provides full project support to the Studio Resource Managers in the effective and effective management and financial control of all operational resources associated with studio operations, as part of achieving commercial targets.
The role is there to assist the Studio Resource Manager in ensuring the customer experience is first class through all elements of the studio production - from preparation of estimates, technical planning, crew provision, health and safety, turnaround of sets and lighting, through to the delivery of the programme whether rehearsing, recording or transmitting.
The role will entail overseeing the operation of the studio gallery and working across the full range of BBC Studioworks clients from entertainment shows to continuing drama programmes such as EastEnders.
The main responsibilities of the role include handling front line enquires and resource requests relating to studios, preparation of estimates, assisting the Studio Resource Managers in the technical planning process, including preparing technical specifications and studio plans. It will also involve working with the Drama Operations Manager on the technical studio planning and preparation process for each weekly ‘block’ of EastEnders.
As the focal point for customer liaison on the programme day, you’ll be required to meet and greet customers, problem solve, respond to any queries as required as well as facilitating allocation requests for equipment and staff in the most cost efficient way.
The Ideal Candidate
You will be commercially savvy and have a customer focused approach to your work with proven experience of operating effectively in a customer-driven studios environment, together with a good understanding of the production process and the technical requirements needed to deliver programmes.
Based London - Television Centre and Elstree/Borehamwood
