BBC Three - Talent Pool 2017
BBC Three recently celebrated its first birthday as an all-digital multimedia channel aimed at 16-34-year-olds. BBC Three is the first public service broadcast channel to transition to a digital-first service. Since our launch as an online brand, BBC Three has been a true pathfinder for the BBC and the wider industry, experimenting with new and unique ways of telling stories across different content forms and formats and with the means of distributing this content to young audiences in the places they are consuming content. Knowing that their media consumption is increasingly fragmented, we’re making sure that BBC Three content can be found on a variety of platforms, whether that is BBC1 or Two, iPlayer, Youtube or social platforms. The quality of much of the content has been recognised by audiences and the industry, winning awards such as RTS Channel of The Year, Broadcast Digital Channel of the Year and BAFTA’s for shows like Fleabag, Murdered by my Father and People Just Do Nothing. It is our ambition through BBC Three to be braver, more provocative and more ‘of the moment’ than any other part of the BBC in an effort to engage and build our relationship with younger audiences.
BBC Three is always looking to hear from great talent who are interested in joining the team. We're therefore creating a talent pool of producers, researchers, and social media professionals at all levels who we can contact to work with us on a fixed term contract or freelance basis in London, and as we grow and establish the new BBC Three team in Birmingham.
The Ideal Candidate
Please note this is a talent pool and does not constitute a job application. Should a suitable opportunity arise in BBC Three a member of the BBC Resourcing & Talent team will be in touch to discuss next steps. Please do continue to review the BBC Careers Hub and sign up for job alerts.
Please state clearly on your CV what type of role you are interested in, location (London or Birmingham) and on what basis you’re interested in working with us e.g. PAYE Freelance, fixed term, self employed.
Entering this talent pool does not guarantee you a role, and will be reviewed for BBC Three roles only. If you do see a vacancy for BBC Three that you are interested in, please do still make an application as the talent pool may not automatically be considered for all opportunities.
Roles may be available in Birmingham or London.
