Content Producer - BBC Three
We are now looking for an experienced Content Producer to join us in helping us make powerful and innovative films that make you laugh and make you think. We're looking for people with strong interests and passions, that will appeal to a BBC Three target audience. We’re making watchable, shareable & transformational content for the youth market of the UK, a market that knows what it wants, when it wants it and where it wants it. We're particularly interested in ideas, perspectives and stories that are under-represented in the media in general. We’re not scared to tackle the tough stuff and we’re equally interested in making people laugh. The focus of this role will be to make those kinds of films that surface on platforms like Facebook and YouTube, so having a love and knowledge of what can be done in those spaces, is really important.
As an experienced digital producer you will be part of a team that originates and develops innovative short form/new form content ideas and treatments in the form of videos, images, graphics & audio. You’re confident in writing engaging copy & scripts for the BBCThree audience, and adapting it for all our social media channels in accordance with BBCThree priorities. You are also a confident self-shooter & editor, who can has a keen eye for a great story or contributor, that’s turns a film from an from idea to a reality. You will come up with strong and innovative ideas and stories for the BBC Three platforms – especially Facebook and YouTube.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have significant production editorial content-making experience. You’re brimming with ideas for BBC Three digital content for both fast turnaround output and for longer planned content strands. You will be highly skilled in the full production life-cycle of content-making; from origination of ideas through to delivery to the audience.
This is a fixed term contract/attachment for 6 months however there is potential for longer term contracts as BBC Three moves to Birmingham in 2018
