Senior Sales Executive, Advertising Sales
BBC Worldwide Limited is the main commercial arm and a wholly owned subsidiary of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). The company exists to exploit the value of the BBC’s assets for the benefit of the licence fee payer and invest in public service programming in return for rights.
BBC Worldwide has recently restructured and it now sits within the regions. We are currently recruiting a Senior Sales Executive to cover CEMA and Western Europe.
We are looking for the Senior Sales Executive to join the Ad Sales department at BBC Worldwide in order to generate profitable sales revenues from advertising on channels including BBC Knowledge, Lifestyle, Entertainment and CBeebies. You’ll assist in the management of sales agents in the regions, develop business partnerships, assist the in-country sales agents in selling advertising on BBC channels, build strong relationships with business sponsors and stakeholders as well as provide market intelligence and ideas to grow the channels and advertising business.
As the Senior Sales Executive you’ll deliver advertising targets for BBC Worldwide channels, present financial reporting, collate monthly forecasting, create presentations for key clients, bring ideas to generate revenue and keep up to date with trends and new developments in the industry.
The Ideal Candidate
You’ll have substantial experience in sales within the global media industry, particularly Pay TV and 360 deal structuring (digital.TV and mobile). Therefore, you’ll have strong consultative selling methods, account and opportunity management techniques and networking techniques.
As the Senior Sales Executive in these regions, you’ll have previously worked for both agency and direct client environments and ideally have an understanding of these markets/international sales.
In order to sell across BBC Worldwide channels, you’ll have knowledge of how TV advertising is traded, BBC brand values along with a passion for TV and these channels in particular.
To be sucessful you’ll be a highly organised, results focused individual with the ability to work well under pressure and to set targets. You’ll have excellent communication, customer focused and relationship buidling skills with the ability to work under your own initiative.
