Social Media Community Executive

We currently have an exciting opportunity for two Social Media Community Executives to assist in with the management of channel and programme accounts across a variety of social media platforms.
Audiences are at the heart of everything we do at the BBC and ensuring that this remains so is the role of our Marketing and Audiences (M&A) team. The M&A team bring the outside in via research and insight and take the inside out via brand strategies, campaigns and audience engagement. Marketing & Audiences as a whole help shape new product development, commissioning strategies, and editorial propositions to define and deliver a consistent and compelling Brand and Marketing Strategy to position M&A as a Brand Leader, and lead “one BBC” towards a stronger relationship with our audiences.
The Social Media Community Executives will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the social media communities across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr as well as emerging platforms. You will manage the planning and the execution of social media content across the platforms, and exhibit command over the brand voice online.
The Social Media Community Executives will build relationships with on-screen talent, third-party suppliers and other BBC departments, and will attend screenings, live shows/studio records and press junkets to enrich our social media offer.
This role will also require you to support the Social Media Manager in the running of high priority social media marketing campaigns for the channel. As well as overseeing the creative content, you will need to be adept in managing budget allocation and ensuring that campaigns are delivered on budget within agreed timeframes.
The Social Media Community Executive is part of the BBC Marketing & Audiences team who help shape commissioning and audience engagement strategies, new product development and editorial propositions in order to define and deliver a consistent and compelling BBC brand message to our audiences.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful individual will have a strong background within a social media environment; this will be evidenced by having experience of running social media proven experience with working with technology platforms and software. In addition you will be creative with an impressive track record of creative accounts. You will have excellent copy writing and graphic design skills with a achievement and driving creative innovation.
