Social Media Executive (BBC)

Job Introduction

We are looking for a Social Media Executive to join the Direct Audience Engagement Team and support the Social Campaign Manager in the management and optimisation of BBC Masterbrand social profiles (Facebook.com/BBC, Twitter.com/BBC, Instagram.com/BBC). You will work with divisional marketers, internal stakeholders and external agencies to deliver innovative campaigns across social channels to engage and build relationships with our audiences about the things that matter to them.

***Please note that these are 9 month fixed-term contracts***

Role Responsibility

As a champion of Social Media you will be required to generate, source and curate conversations on the Masterbrand’s social media presences in line with the agreed marketing strategy. This will be supported by  high quality copywriting and sourcing visual assets. You will be responsible for advising and participating in the development and delivery of social content and engagement planning, working closely with social analysts to use data and insight to inform your decision making.

Furthermore, you will develop close working relationships with colleagues and multiple stakeholders to ensure creative content delivers on the overarching brand strategy.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will demonstrate evidence of having run social media campaigns and accounts, either from scratch or inherited, working across multiple platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. This includes practical experience with social platform management tools and of creating and scheduling content on brand social media profiles. You will be an excellent communicator with experience of developing relationships with senior stakeholders.

As a creative thinker and innovator you will have exceptional copywriting skills with the ability to interpret and adhere to brand tone of voice. You will have a keen interest in analytics and will be able to use insights to inform content optimisation strategy. You will have a willingness to learn about new tools and will be supporting the adoption of Social CRM by assisting with product configuration and support queries.
