Job Introduction

Marketing and audiences have an exciting new opportunity for a Social Media Marketing Executive. This role is a 6 month attachment/fixed term contract based in our London office. The role will report into the Head of Marketing, BBC iPlayer and support the BBC iPlayer Social Media Manager in delivering a coherent, consistent social media experience for our audiences.

The Social Media Marketing Executive will work alongside the existing social media team and is responsible for increasing BBC iPlayer marketing communication across a variety of social media platforms to engage our audience in relevant conversations and grow love, advocacy and evangelism for BBC iPlayer. Role Responsibility

You will support and assist the Head of Marketing, BBC iPlayer and the BBC iPlayer Social Media Manager in delivering on BBC iPlayer marketing objectives. You will advise and participate in the development and delivery of a social media strategy for other BBC Future Media products & services. You will also manage the marketing budget allocation for social media campaigns and ensure campaigns are delivered within budgets and within agreed timeframes.

Furthermore you will develop close working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure creative content delivers on the overarching BBC iPlayer brand strategy, and with the Media Engagement and Audience teams to ensure that content is distributed in the most effective way and monitored and evaluated appropriately.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will demonstrate evidence of having run social media campaigns and accounts, either from scratch or inherited. You will have strong project management and budget management skills within a social media environment. You will also have experience of developing relationships with senior stakeholders.

In addition, you will have strong copywriting and graphic design skills with a proven ability to work with technology platforms and software such as Final Cut Pro and Photoshop. You will also have an impressive record of creative achievement and driving creative innovation from team members within a digital space.
