Team Assistant (Office of the Chairman and Director General)
The Office supports the work of the Director-General and the Chairman and includes the Secretariat which manages the work of the Board, the Executive Committee and pan-BBC decision-making groups.
We are now looking for a Team Assistant on a Continuing contract.
Please note: it is a non-negotiable requirement of this role that working hours will begin at 8:30am in New Broadcasting House. The role sometimes requires working in other BBC locations in London, and around the UK.
Please note this is a Grade 4 position, proposed Band B
This role reports to the Business Co-ordinator within the Office and works with them and another (part-time) Team Assistant to provide administrative support across the Office and the Secretariat. The role provides diary and administrative support to the Company Secretary.
This role involves close working with the Company Secretary, the DG's Head of Engagement, Visits and Events, as well as the Executive Assistants to the Chairman and Director-General.
In addition to extensive management of multiple diaries, including the central Secretariat calendar, the role requires organising and supporting meetings and events across the BBC. Some management of general office functions will also be required.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an experienced team assistant, with excellent administrative and organisational skills who has the ability to work without close supervision. You will have experience of working in a busy working environment, handling a large volume of work, juggling changing priorities and challenging deadlines. You will have excellent IT skills, including the ability to use Outlook and produce high quality documents from source material.
You will be experienced in handling confidential information and understand the pressures and sensitivities of working in a sensitive corporate environment. Knowledge of SAP would be well regarded.
