This is an excellent opportunity for an administrator to join our Acquisition Team as an Acquisitions Assistant. This role works closely with the Inventory Executive and Acquisition Executives to maintain the departmental content databases, process contracts and providing administrative support directed towards the successful launch and continuing operation of BBC Studios’ branded services
In order to successfully support the acquisitions team, you will take on the responsibility of maintaining accurate and timely records of channel distribution and programme licence agreements in Excel. You will also act as the point of contact for the internal BBC Studios finance department and provide administrative support for the team such as travel booking, meeting arrangements, office admin and ad hoc additional projects as required. In addition to this, you will input contract and rights information as well as versions/series and episode billing data inventory and scheduling systems.
This role will also include, developing and maintaining programme supply, channel information and acquisition databases as well as supervise the distribution of channel information to partners and relevant departments as required. A typical day will include, collating programme information and availability as required to support the ongoing supply of BBC programming to new and existing BBC channels and managing the administration of acquisition contracts into SAP including raising Purchase Orders and Invoice tracking. Additionally, you will keep records as required and manage the departmental office in an efficient and effective manner (including tracking miscellaneous financial expenditures).
Are you the right candidate?
Ideally, you will be confident with financial databases such as SAP, coupled with an excellent working knowledge of Excel and numeracy and analytical skills. You will be a proactive individual with strong organisation and interpersonal skills along with the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team. You will be detail orientated and have a demonstrable interest in the media and broadcast industry. Experience working in a finance/ administration role and confidence with legal contact administration are desirable.
