Assistant Content Producer - BBC iPlayer

The iPlayer Editorial Teams focus is to curate and optimise content on iPlayer to provide a world class service for our audiences.
We work in a creative environment that is audience and data driven, shaping the future of a more personalised iPlayer through collaboration with colleagues in Content, Design & Engineering and Marketing & Audiences.
We are looking for someone who can bring their passion for the BBCs TV output to a wide range of editorial responsibilities in the curation and publication of content on BBC iPlayer and TV programme pages.
You will have a keen eye for detail and a creative mind-set to ensure that the presentation of programmes and associated metadata across Player is of the highest standard.
You will write compelling copy seen by millions of iPlayer users, treat and publish programme imagery and be self-motivated to analyse data and develop new creative approaches.
With iPlayer at the heart of the BBCs digital strategy, building strong relationships with other teams across the organisation will be vital. You will be expected to work with colleagues in Design and Engineering on product development and plan the publication of content to reflect wider editorial and marketing priorities.
The Ideal Candidate
A self-starter able to prioritise their workload to ensure deadlines are met.You will react positively to changes and conflicting priorities as they arise.
Previous experience of creating first class content for digital products/brands and using content management systems.
A passion for the BBCs TV content and an excellent understanding of the wider VOD market.
Demonstrable ability to develop creative ideas, which engage diverse audiences in a demanding creative environment.
Experience of influencing, negotiating and being able to communicate effectively with internal and external agencies/partners.
Excellent planning and organising skills with the ability to concentrate on several areas of work at one time.
Understanding of the importance of the BBC's values including accuracy and impartiality.
Grade 6 / Proposed Band C
