You will steer the editorial direction for the South, working with local digital line managers to deliver stories quickly and with impact. You will launch a local subbing operation, introduce new live page services, and increase the use of video across all digital platforms. This is also a hands-on role, and you will need to sub and write big stories at times. Working closely with BBC South’s radio and television editors, you will ensure our best local content is directed towards digital audiences, whilst also delivering new and original stories, with the ambition to reach a wider audience on the BBC England and UK websites.
