BBC Studioworks is a commercial subsidiary of the BBC providing studios and post production services to all the major TV broadcasters and production companies including the BBC, ITV, Sky, Channel 4, Channel 5 and the Endemol Shine Group. Located across sites in Elstree and Television Centre in White City, our London facilities are home to some of the nation’s most watched and loved television shows. We are currently looking for 2 x Studio Assistant Resource Managers to join our team.
The Studio Assistant Resource Manager role is primarily responsible for overseeing the operation of the studio gallery, providing full project support to the Studioworks Resource Managers in the effective commercial management and cost control of all operational resources associated with Studio operations.
In this role you will be a key liaison for both customers and contractors and will need to handle front line enquires and sales requests relating to Studios. You will be required to communicate project and/or turnaround plans to delivery teams and you will support the Resource Manager with costing, invoicing and raising purchase orders. You will prepare estimates, update schedule orders and support with technical planning such as hiring equipment and booking staff, whilst working to BBC Studioworks health and safety standards.
This role involves working unsociable hours both day and night including weekends and public bank holidays
The Ideal Candidate
This role requires someone with a strong customer focused approach. You must have a good understanding of the production process, the technical requirements required needed to deliver the end product and have experience of managing multiple project in a production environment. You will be commercially minded and have proven experience of working to financial / commercial constraints.
Strong influencing/communication skills, resilience and a flexible can-do attitude will be key to your success in this role.
