BBC Scotland has places available on its Production Apprenticeship Scheme and on the UK-wide Journalism Trainee Scheme. These are exciting roles, offering superb learning opportunities and a salary while you develop your media career.
We understand that applying for a place on these two schemes can feel a bit daunting. You will no doubt have lots of questions - which scheme is right for me? What is the BBC looking for? Do I need qualifications or previous media experience? How do I submit a great application?
If you have a passion for creating brilliant content and are keen to apply to become a production apprentice or journalism trainee, we’d like to help you along the way.
We are holding an information evening at BBC Scotland’s headquarters in Pacific Quay in Glasgow on Wednesday 21st March from 6pm.
You will meet some of our apprentices and trainees past and present and get the chance to quiz them on what life is like at BBC Scotland. In addition, you will have the opportunity to meet the staff involved in the assessment process and get some friendly advice in an informal setting.
The Ideal Candidate
There are only a set number of places, so it is an application only event. You must be eligible to apply to an apprenticeship or traineeship starting in 2018 in order to be considered. We will ask you to tell us a little bit about yourself when you apply for a place.
This is a great opportunity to meet BBC people and get the inside track on an apprenticeship or traineeship with the BBC. If you are interested in coming along please apply for your place on our careers hub. We will let you know by Monday 19th March whether we have a place reserved for you.
We look forward to receiving your applications for this event!
