Reporting to the Production Liaison Manager, the Production Support Coordinator will be the first point of contact for visitors and queries to the Studioworks Stage Door Office at Elstree Studios. Working across a range of ‘meet and greet’, front of house, administrative and Production Support activities, the successful candidate will play an important role in developing rapport with our productions, suppliers, staff and contractors and is key to ensuring visitors leave with a positive experience of BBC Studioworks.
The core hours of work will be 7am – 3pm Monday to Friday. However, the role requires flexibility to work additional hours, evenings and weekends specific to shows and at our different sites.
Responsibilities will include managing productions, visitors, suppliers and contractors on arrival to site, ensuring they have the appropriate ID access, dealing with any queries they may have and directing them to where they need to be. You’ll advise productions on guest arrivals, taxi drop-offs/pickups, deliveries and mail, liaising with front of site security and the mail room.
Working closely with Production support as well as the onsite Facilities and Client Liaison teams, you’ll assist the Production Liaison Coordinators with day-to-day coordination of Production requirements. You’ll maintain the Access Control system database, programming ID Passes and room keys ensuring relevant access restrictions and expiry dates are applied and will proactively assess and evaluate our front of house production support systems and procedures, recommending any improvements and efficiencies that can be made.
The Ideal Candidate
You should have proven experience working in a similar role within a complex 24 hour facility and customer driven environment. You’ll have excellent communication skills to deal confidently and discreetly with people at all levels and a knowledge and understanding of the production process.
Good IT skills and a knowledge of Microsoft including Excel, Word and Powerpoint are essential. Experience of working with ID Cards and Access Control systems would be an advantage.
