BBC Studioworks - Transformation Director
BBC Studioworks is a commercial subsidiary of the BBC providing studios and postproduction services to all the major TV broadcasters and production companies including the BBC, ITV, Sky, Channel 4, Channel 5 and the Endemol Shine Group.
Located across sites in Elstree and Television Centre in White City, our facilities are home to some of the nation’s most watched and loved television shows. We offer world-class studio and postproduction spaces, equip them with the right technology and engage the most dedicated and talented people in the industry. By doing this, we bring shows to life.
With an ambitious growth strategy over the next five years we are looking to recruit the role of Transformation Director to lead our culture change and business transformation. The newly created position will proactively support the CEO to deliver change and help the next phase of commercial growth for the business both in and out of London.
As an experienced change agent, you’ll drive engagement, ambition and expertise within the leadership teams, designing and delivering programmes that underpin business success, demonstrating a forensic understanding of the talent required to support the business today and tomorrow. You’ll be responsible for developing and executing a business transformation strategy to maximise commercial growth across the organisation and providing sound advice to senior management. The role will support the growth agenda by exciting people about the ambition, encouraging an openness to innovate and adopting a growth mindset.
Devise, implement and continually improve organisational design, aligned to business growth and with clear functional accountabilities.
Partner and deputise for the CEO to deliver business restructuring, ensuring strategic integration and design solutions that match both the commercial and cultural needs of the organisation.
Build a culture of inclusivity at BBC Studioworks, driving behaviours and culture change at every level of the organisation. Put Diversity and Inclusion at the heart of senior leadership decision making and all people and culture strategies.
Lead and manage a portfolio of projects/programs requiring change management strategy and identify interdependencies across projects and sequence change management activities accordingly.
Developing the leadership team through delivering clear and accountable leadership behaviours and use a coaching style to build capability.
Act to support the human factor in the company by devising strategies for performance evaluation, training and development etc.
Collaborate with key broadcast/trade partners to ensure that we have strong relationships based on mutual respect as well as understanding, and deliver the best possible long-term commercial return.

In addition, you’ll operate as a high-profile external liaison and representative, working within BBC Group and external partnerships. You’ll form partnerships with organisations and innovative thinkers, keeping abreast of developments in their field, responding to the demands of the commercial environment. You yourself will thrive on feedback and are committed to development, with an impeccable track record of discretion, ethics and confidentiality.
