Broadcast Journalists, BBC Breakfast
Breakfast is the most watched morning TV programme in the UK. It is presented live from MediaCityUK and contains a mixture of news, sport, weather, business and feature items.
We are now looking for experienced and talented Broadcast Journalists to join the team - on a fixed term or a continuing basis.
You’ll produce stories, news packages, guests and OBs for BBC Breakfast. You’ll work to Senior Broadcast Journalists and Editors. Good writing skills and news judgment are essential, as is the potential to originate and develop programme stories.
You must have a thorough understanding of the editorial aims and policies of BBC Breakfast and BBC News more widely, and you'll take responsibility for any production role that might be assigned by a programme, newsroom or a newsgathering editor.
Are you the right candidate?
With an audience of 7 million viewers a day you need to be a full of story ideas and have the vision to deliver creative television to a Breakfast audience.
You'll already have considerable daily news experience. You'll also need to demonstrate a passion for news, for TV and an ambition to deliver quality journalism. The role involves day and night working in a 24-7 newsroom.
