International News is at the heart of the BBC. BBC News Group employs approximately 2,000 staff in 74 news bureaux around the world. It provides multimedia services to a global weekly audience of over 350 million, in English and 42 languages around the clock, every day of the year. The bureaux react to breaking news, provide news updates and analysis and produce live programme and online output. In a highly competitive market, delivering to both UK Licence Fee payers and commercial partners, BBC News services must be reliable and consistent and continue to meet the high standards expected by our audiences.
As line manager for the Admin operations team, the Business Advisor role will ensure effective scheduling of staff and that procedures and processes are fully compliant. You will be responsible to ensure any training and development requirements are met for the team.
You will assist the General Manager in ensuring all compliances and international risks related to property, technology, legal and people are registered and managed with mitigation plans in place, reviewed by specialist teams and actioned by stakeholders.
The team are looking for someone to identify and champion opportunities for innovation in terms of building smoother processes and smart ways of working.
Are you the right candidate?
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in an international Media Organisation Operations team in India. You will have previously managed a team and have been responsible for training and development of others.
An overview of policy and procedure and how to train others in processes is important as well as experience in risk management.
Frequent travel within India is required for this role.
