To make the most ofthepotential for our audiences were looking fora greatBusiness Analyst to help us togrow our team. Co-located with ourData Scienceand Voice UI teams,you will be collaborating on a new project that is at the forefront ofdata andmachine learning, developing a brand new audience experience from the BBC.
We are aiming high and have an open brief to define what works best for our audience, so we are looking for people who can help shape both the direction andtheaudience-facingproduct.We want to stay leanandmove quickly to build, test and learn as we go, so yourcontributionwill make a difference from day one. We are looking for someone with a passion for Business Analysis and working with Data. If you are excited by the idea having a big impactonBBC audiences, and have some experience with Consumer products at scale then please get in touch.If you can demonstrateknowledgeofMobile Apps, machine learning, or personalisation this is a bonus, but not a requirement.
Youll have the opportunity to engage with Business Analysts working onother BBC apps and services,tappinginto the wealth of knowledge and experience of an organisationalreadyserving avastglobal audience.Learning is an important part of the role, andyoull have access to BBC Academy training programmes, the opportunity to attend conferences, and use other resourcesto progress as an Busines Analyst.
Are you the right candidate?
Applicants should be able to identify and validate user acceptance criteria, working from business requirements, User Experience design and test strategy, to collaborate with the wider development and test teams and agree the final acceptance criteria.
The ideal applicant is a clear and rigorous thinker who can chase down the details of how systems work from a range of stakeholders across the business.
Applicants should have experience of helping answer developer questions writing well formed tickets with clear acceptance criteria.
Be able to work with Product and Project Managers to help create estimates for tasks and help plan out the order and sequence of work.
Define data mapping requirements based on the business requirements, solution design and implementation plan, to ensure that business information is accurately migrated and reconciled, prior to the implementation of any new project, process or functional change.
Data analysis, aligning data structure sources to enterprise initiatives, data set identification, refinement and visualisation. Mechanisms and techniques to surface insights, trends and data driven decision making from our technical data.
Experience working with mobile applications or data science teams would be an advantage.
