Our Business Coordinator will support the BBC Studios’ Production Head of Operations. The Head of Operations’ role deals with pan genre and pan UK issues and projects. Key areas which the Head of Operations covers include Sustainability for Production (covering Net Zero and supply chain, Albert, Zero waste to landfill, travel targets and offsetting plus supporting editorial portrayal onscreen where required); ensuring BBC Studios’ view is represented in relevant major BBC re-procurements and projects, as applicable; compliance (for eg liaising with content security experts, production paperwork); Property and Technology projects; and other ad hoc projects as required.

Role Responsibility

Our Business Coordinator will address Production operational queries on sustainability including on BAFTA Albert systems and processes. You'll also ensure the sustainability dropbox and FAQs remains up to date.

In addition, you will be responsible for data gathering and analysis for BBC Studios’ sustainability strategy including on Albert footprints, carbon action plans, travel, suppliers and zero waste to landfill as well as feeding into MI packs for both BBC Studios and BBC

Finalising BBC Studios sustainability approach on international Productions and shortform, will also be a key part of this role. 

Representing BBC Studios Production’s views in major BBC re-procurements

Supporting in projects including BBC Childrens, hybrid ways of working and production paperwork, plus other ad hoc.

As our Business Coordinator, you will be expected to organise and plan a demanding workload and manage conflicting priorities with some supervision to deliver within tight deadlines. There is plenty of opportunity for growth in this role.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage tight deadlines and conflicting demands with some supervision.
  • Demonstrable experience of maintaining constructive relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in using the Microsoft Office suite (in particular Excel for data management).
  • Well organised, with analytical skills, ability to drive projects to logical recommendations.
  • Ability to use own initiative to resolve most problems.
  • Production knowledge and some knowledge of key BBC systems and processes would be beneficial.
  • Good influencing and communication skills, both face-to-face and in writing
  • A meticulous eye for detail. 
  • Prepared to work flexibly in a pressured working environment

Working pattern: Hybrid 2/3 days per week in the office
