We are seeking a Business Intelligence Manager for a 12 month fixed term contract/attachment.

The Business Intelligence (BI) manager will play a key role in setting the BI strategy across BBC Studios, whilst maintaining the integrity of the reporting and system structures delivered by the Finance Transformation project. You will be the key link between Finance and IT, helping to identify, develop and deliver insightful and relent management information to the business. 

The Business Intelligence Manager will build effective relationships with the project, business and 3rd party stakeholders. Working closely with SAP, technology and our support teams, you will ensure the newly implemented applications; SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC), SAP Business Warehouse on HANA (BW) and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) meet the reporting requirements of the business throughout project delivery and into BAU activity.

Role Responsibility

Deliver business insights by converting reporting requirements into future proof IT solutions and align BI strategy and planning to the goals and objectives of the business.

Coach, mentor, delegate and provide technical leadership to developers, super users and post go live support teams.

Own BW, BPC and SAC standardised reporting suites, managing uniformity and consistency across the board by reviewing, prioritising and authorising requests from users to create and modify any reports.

Collaborate with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external, throughout the FT project implementation phase and into BAU.

Design, provide guidance on the build and optimisation of easy to use reports and dashboards in BPC and SAC

Design, provide guidance on the build and modification of BEx queries, BPC BW models and hierarchies to deliver evolving business requirements.

Build, develop and implement the long-term BI strategic roadmap.

Are you the right candidate?

As Business Intelligence Manager, you will have a firm understanding of financial processes and accounting, with the ability to use this to develop and maintain the BI reporting suite and strategy. Possessing knowledge of Business Warehouse, including Query designer, you’ll be proficient with BI tools such as SAP BO, WEBi and AFO. Experience of BW integration to 3rd party systems such as Sales force would be advantageous.

You will possess a working knowledge of SAC or similar visualisation tool, with strong analytical and problem solving skills and demonstrated leadership skills to develop and implement key reporting requirements and BI strategy for the company. Experience of working with 3rd party suppliers and offshore developer and support teams. You’ll be confident in a changing environment, managing information within a transformation programme or complex implementation project, involving data modelling and reporting.
