Communications Manager, English Regions North
We are currently recruiting for a Communications Manager to oversee the communications for the English Regions North team, ensuring delivery of high impact campaigns and consistent messaging across reactive enquires and programme publicity for regional radio and 5 Live. It will be a busy and fast-paced role, but a hugely rewarding role.
The post holder will develop integrated communications strategies and campaigns which include PR platforms and the use of appropriate media to reach as many relevant audiences as possible. This role will expect you to advise senior executives on media strategies, offer support for conference speeches and presentations whilst developing and integrating communications plans whilst also providing guidance and task management to the team encouraging creativity across all mediums. You will be a communications expert with the expectations of establishing and maintain a strong network of editorial contacts across all media.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful individual will have a proven track record gained at a senior level in a professional Communications field - ideally in both press and publicity, including experience of crisis and issues management, and wider public relations skills (print, events, exhibitions, opinion former activity etc).
You will have a strong understanding of the media environment and the news gathering process both in radio, TV, online and the written press coupled with the ability to write and edit crisp, clear and lively media releases and copy. In addition you will have exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management experience as you will need to ensure consistent activity across other departments. Importantly you will be full of creativity and brimming with ideas exploring and identifying innovative ways of communicating effectively and imaginatively with audiences.
