Content Assistant (BBC Gaeilge)

Job Introduction

The BBC Gaeilge department in BBC Northern Ireland comprises a small multi-skilled, multi-platform team which produces Irish language content for radio, online and social media. 

We take pride in making high quality Irish language content which is accessible to a wide audience in Northern Ireland and beyond.  

If you have a high level of fluency in written and spoken Irish and English, and are an experienced Content Assistant, or can demonstrate sufficient knowledge and skill in researching and producing content for radio programmes, social media and digital platforms, we can offer you the opportunity to contribute ideas and get involved in editorial support across a range of programming.

Role Responsibility

You will contribute ideas, provide editorial and research support for a range of programmes, and aid the production of innovative multi-platform content. You may also be required to deputise for Content Producers on occasions. 

You will also be responsible for technical operations for live and recorded output and work in a flexible manner across genres, rotas, and locations. 

The Ideal Candidate

A high level of fluency in written and spoken Irish and English is essential for this role.   You will also have experience of the techniques used in audio production across multiple platforms and show a willingness to learn new techniques.
