BBC Radio UIster/Foyle is looking for dynamic digitally aware all-rounders able to work across the station’s factual, speech, magazines and music programme genres.
You’ll contribute fully across the station and develop close working relationships with other producers and teams in radio and the wider Content Department to champion cross promotion and joined up thinking and to ensure content reaches the widest possible audience.
You’ll report to Senior Content Producer/Series-Producer/Content Editor/Executive Editor.
The Ideal Candidate
You’ll know what excites, entertains, engages and connects with our audiences, on air and online, and be able to create and deliver the innovative quality programmes and content that do this.
You’ll understand the role of BBC Radio Ulster/Foyle as a broadcaster in its own right as well as part of the planned BBC NI Content Department and be willing and able to successfully blend both for the benefit of all our audiences.
You’ll be a self-starter able to demonstrate strong editorial judgement across the entire range of programmes and genres, with a collaborative inclusive developmental approach, from working with colleagues to generating ideas.
PLEASE NOTE: We are looking for people to join a register of Content Producers .
Appointment to the register will not entitle candidates to permanent contracts in the BBC, these will have to be applied for in the normal way, neither does it guarantee work.
The pool of successful candidates would be operational for a year from the date of appointment and members can be called upon as and when needed but this is not guaranteed.
