Digital Communications Specialist

Job Introduction

This role works across the BBC England Communications team to create high impact digital content to support publicity priorities.

With digital and social media both important ways to showcase what the BBC does, this role will support the communications team in creating high quality, creative digital content for use online and on social media to promote BBC services and content and support corporate priorities. The role will involve ensuring campaigns have a clear digital focus and use all available digital tools to create impact to produce compelling and eye catching content that grabs the attention and that makes complex information understandable visually.

Role Responsibility

The Digital Communications Specialist provides the department with strong digital content skills, knowledge and imagination to increase the impact of all that we do. This is an exciting and wide-ranging role for an experienced PR specialist that requires strong creative flair and judgment.

You'll work across both corporate and digital content areas and be an expert at prioritising and juggling a large number of demands for your time.

The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role you’ll have a proven track record of working on modern publicity communications campaigns with experience of traditional publicity.  

Ideally you will have experience of working within public relations and content creation.

You will have the ability to turn ideas into shareable digital material to create engaging digital content for online.

As a digital and social expert, you will you have a strong understanding of promoting content in a way that reflects how different audiences consume information.

We are looking for an individual who can work collaboratively within a team and can communicate effectively between a variety of stakeholders.
