  • Maintain open lines of communication and feedback with line managers of staff network chairs;

Our Diversity and Inclusion Plan 2021-2023 has several commitments to developing our staff through targeted leadership and development programmes and interventions.  These commitments contribute to our diversity targets, which are to be achieved for staff, including those in more senior positions. Working with the Leadership and Development team, responsibilities include:

  • Leading on and managing our Senior Leadership Team Advisers programme – 24 members of staff at all levels, from across the BBC who join a divisional board and contribute to key decision-making on those boards for a 12 month period, alongside their existing roles;
  • Supporting the career development of the staff network chairs during their tenure, with the ambition that the role of a network chair provides a career development opportunity and maximise the experience of leading a strategic team.
