Presentation provides hosted links for the CBeebies and CBBC Channel using a mix of presenters to bring our output to life for children up to the age of twelve.The content is made in studio with a variety of presenters. The production team works very closely with various stakeholders to create content to promote the key CBBC & CBeebies brands.

We are looking for ahighly motivated and creative researcher to help develop ideas, write scripts, source UGC and be present in studio during our live output.

Reporting to the Presentation Producers this role is ideal for someone who has some research experience but is keen to expand their skills and knowledge of television production while developing their script writing abilities.

The successful candidate must be able to confidently work with children of all ages.

Role Responsibility

Suggest, develop and research appropriate ideas and present these to the producer/line manager for feedback and review.

To write scripts and sketches for studio

To source, clear and input UGC sent in by the audience

To assist in the planning, production and maintenance of content on a variety of platforms

Support the senior members of the production team in a wide variety of tasks, including technical/digital by the needs of the production as required.

To work directly to the Producer and daily studio APs to prepare for studio pre-recording, live and possibly some location filming.

To help fact find, source and clear music, archive and stills, as well as having the opportunity to write some links with a view to scriptwriting development.

Put programme billings into script format for the APs.

Responsible for booking talent, guests and contributors, liaising with agents where necessary.

Source suitable locations for other filming including bedtime stories and clearing books for use on air through the publishers.

Ensure that any content or images used within Presentation are cleared for use and that any queries about this are referred upwards.

Are you the right candidate?

Ability to come up with new ideas for links, sketches and games and help bring them to life with humour and flare

Ability to assess the suitability of contributors, locations and programme material to ensure programme requirements are met

Demonstrable awareness of copyright issues and clearance skills

Demonstrates good knowledge of the audience and what appeals to it

Ability to write audience appropriate scripts from research information and scheduling briefs

Demonstrates wide knowledge of research/information sources and has strong fact checking skills

Demonstrates good knowledge of the Producer Guidelines and the Health & Safety Guidelines

Must be aware of the Live CBBC/CBeebies editorial style and the constraints governing suitability of content
