Finance Business Analyst, Merchandising UK Region - 12months attachment/FTC

We have an opportunity for a Finance Business Analyst to join the UK Region finance team on a 12month fixed term contract. You will act as the link between licensees, agents, the sales team within Merchandising, and the finance team. The responsibilities of the role will include
ensuring accuracy on billings and process improvement work. You will also have the opportunity to support the implementation of a new system and act as the finance representative for our Brainbase project.

The UK Finance - Actuals and Reporting team comprises four analysts and works closely with the CP&A team to ensure actuals are correctly reflected in the forecast process.

Role Responsibility

You will support the Merchandising business by ensuring billing is accurate and timely, which will involve close management of the finance operational process, and royalty and payaway calculations. It will also involve working with our outsourced finance team to reconcile and provide complete and accurate reporting. You will also support with invoicing queries and provide ad-hoc support to the Merchandising sales team to allow them to progress deals.

You will liaise with business stakeholders to support commercial business decisions and work with the outsourced finance team to ensure that all accounts are reconciled and discrepancies investigated.

A ‘self-starter’ finance professional with experience working in a commercial finance function in a complex matrix organisation, with reporting experience.

You must be a confident communicator with the ability to work effectively and forge relationships with a range of stakeholders. You will have knowledge of the theory and practical application of accounting principles and controls, as well as an excellent understanding of the finance operational process.

Ideally, you will have experience of business partnering in a finance role and reviewing commercial licensing contracts.

You must be self-sufficient, organised, and have a keen interest in the media industry. Ideally, you will have relevant licensing system experience.
