HR Business Partner- Nations

Job Introduction

The HR Business Partner is a generalist and strategic HR role, working within a team of HRBPs and the broader BBC HR team, including our centres of expertise and in-house shared service centre.  The successful candidate will partner with their client group within BBC Cymru Wales to define and enable medium to longer term objectives that deliver business transformation and change.

We are looking for a HR Business Partner to partner with members of BBC Cymru Wales Executive team. As a HR Business Partner, this is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of the BBC Cymru Wales HR team and a member of the Nations HR team that supports the UK Nations division in Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and England.

BBC Wales is the nation's broadcaster, providing a wide range of English and Welsh language content on TV, radio and online for audiences across Wales, as well as flagship programmes for the BBC Network. BBC Wales is 1,100 people strong and spread across 9 hubs with headquarters recently relocated to Central Square, Cardiff City Centre.

Role Responsibility

As a HR Business Partner you’ll provide strategic HR support by partnering with executive team members and senior managers in BBC Cymru Wales and deputise for the Senior HR Business Partner as required.

You’ll support the delivery of a high standard of HR service, working with insights and data to inform decisions. You’ll enable development and implementation of solutions aligned to the strategy.

You will also be responsible for executing the divisional people plan to improves business performance and will support sensitive or high profile HR issues.

Are you the right candidate?

You will have a proven track record of HR generalist experience gained in a large organisation with multiple stakeholders, including matrix relationships. You’ll also have extensive experience of operating in a business partner model and working with leaders on strategy and change. You’ll need experience of employee and union relations and advising on complex cases. Additionally, you will have had experience of working on people elements of transformation projects and embedding change as well as bringing diverse and innovative knowledge, skills and perspective into the business.

12 month FTC/ attachment- maternity cover

Location: Flexible with some travel required to our Cardiff office

Welsh language skills are desirable but not necessary for this role
