HR Business Partner- Nations
The HR Business Partner is a generalist and strategic HR role, working within a team of HRBPs and the broader BBC HR team, including our centres of expertise and in-house shared service centre. The successful candidate will partner with an Executive Team member and a client group within BBC Scotland to define and enable medium to longer term objectives that deliver business transformation and change. This is a true Strategic HR Business Partner role and we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate experience of operating at this level.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of the BBC Scotland HR team and a member of the Nations HR team that supports the UK Nations division in Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and England.
BBC Scotland is the nation's broadcaster, with approximately 1,100 staff based in 13 sites across Scotland. BBC Scotland produces content in English and Gaelic, in all genres across television, radio and online. It is the leading provider of news, current affairs and political coverage in Scotland.
As a HR Business Partner you’ll provide strategic HR support by partnering with executive team members and senior managers in BBC Scotland and deputise for the Head of HR as required.
You’ll support the delivery of a high standard of HR service, working with insights and data to inform decisions. You’ll enable development and implementation of solutions aligned to the strategy.
You will also be responsible for executing the divisional people plan to improve business performance and will support sensitive or high profile HR issues.
Are you the right candidate?
You will have a proven track record of HR generalist experience gained in a large organisation with multiple stakeholders, including matrix relationships. You’ll also have extensive experience of operating in a business partner model and working with leaders on strategy and change. Additionally, you will have had experience of working on people elements of transformation projects and embedding change as well as bringing diverse and innovative knowledge, skills and perspective into the business.
More important than all of this however is your attitude and outlook, we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate a resilient, positive and hardworking approach.
