Head of Marketing - Content - 12 month FTC

We are seeking a Head of Marketing to join the Content Marketing team, on a 12 month maternity contract. The Head of Marketing leads the producing and management of powerful global Commercial, Customer and Consumer experiences through best-in-class, end-to-end Content Marketing campaigns across all platforms. From iconic drama including the legacy of Sherlock and Luther, recent highlights Good Omens and A Suitable Boy, and upcoming projects The North Water, Steve McQueen’s Small Axe to world-renowned formats including global hits Dancing With The Stars and The Great Bake Off, and brand new exciting formats, it’s a world-class slate of original programming.
This role will support the Director of Marketing to develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies that will inform, educate and entertain audiences and consumers around the world. The Head of Marketing will be central in ensuring BBCS’s position as a world-class content creator and exporter of outstanding British creativity to third parties, driving reputation and value across our global commercial activities to maximise sales and profitability.
This role will also be critical to the on-going development of powerful Global Trade and Consumer experiences (including BBC Branded Services) through best in class end to end content marketing strategies across all platforms. The role will work closely with multiple internal departments and external partners supporting them in optimising local sales efforts (third party broadcasters, SVoD services, DTO) and content marketing requirements across B2B and B2C, delivering global, high impact campaigns for on and off-air.
Support the Director of Marketing to shape and inform the annual strategy to drive a stronger content pipeline.
Lead in developing strategy, planning and implementation to deliver comprehensive, effective plans to support the annual marketing plan.
Leads end-to-end marketing for major titles to cover the full life-cycle of a brand delivering against strategic objectives.
Lead cutting edge end-to-end marketing plans (pre-sales through to global consumer launch and review) for major titles across all genres. Ensure clarity of positioning and value to maximise returns, performance and reputation.
Develop innovative marketing and, where appropriate, brand and content extensions to grow reach & distribution, commercial and brand value.
Work closely with regions and partners to drive global consumer campaign launches (BBC Branded channels and 3rd party) and ensure both efficient delivery of master assets to teams, clients and partners around the world.
Manage and coordinate senior production and partner relationships to drive value and deliver optimal Content Marketing campaigns across all stages.

You’ll have had experience working in a senior marketing role previously, with demonstrable knowledge and experience of global marketing, in addition to a deep understanding of the threats and opportunities for media companies in a digital age. With a proven track record delivering in global marketing environment, you’ll understand how to build brands across multiple platforms, understanding of complexity involved.
You’ll be accomplished in your ability manage end to end campaigns, using consumer analytics to inform your decisions, supporting to build brands and promote content within a digital/social media environment. You’re highly articulate, a collaborative communicator, affording you the ability to forge effective working relationships. With strong negotiation skills and ability to negotiate desired outcomes with peers and partners, you’ll continually embrace BBC Studios strategic objectives, and an appreciation of its values end to end marketing covering the full life cycle across trade to consumer, ensuring BBC Studios retains its reputation as a world class B2B brand.
