Junior Designer, EMEA Creative - 12 month FTC/attachment

We are seeking a Junior Designer to join the EMEA Creative team on a 12 month fixed term attachment/FTC.

Reporting into the Creative Director, the Junior Designer will work closely with the Motion Designer, offering support and producing core promotional work when required. The Junior Designer will act as the main point of contact when the Motion Designer is unavailable. They will manage design project archiving and quality check design output. The Junior Designer will offer graphic support on event reels, creation of awards reels and internal videos. They will work on promotional reversions, captioning jobs and assist on large scale campaigns when required. In addition, they will offer graphics support on franchise brand collateral and pre-sales activity.

Role Responsibility

Create and output graphic elements using After Effects for small ad-hoc design jobs such as re-versions, branded elements, social and digital assets.

Produce style guides, design references, assets and any other appropriate material to relevant parties to the Production Manager.

Occasional research, sourcing and procurement of image files, footage, 3D files and fonts

Provide technical knowledge for edit and video related queries – encoding/delivery of material to agencies, playout providers etc.

Log graphics technical specs for various regions and playout providers.

Check in-coming assets are technically correct and check quality control and correct technical specs on all graphics output.

Caption promotional trails and assist on bigger campaign projects when required

Maintain the filing and archiving of design projects.

The Junior Designer will be managing their own schedule and so will need to be organised and used to estimating job length. A knowledge of After Effects, Premiere to a playout standard and Adobe CC is required and you will have a distinct passion for digital.  You’ll have the ability to handle confidential information with tact and sensitivity and will demonstrate excellent organizational skills, particularly for naming conventions and archiving. An awareness and understanding of post-production equipment and procedures Resilience and stamina to sustain performance when under pressure from a high volume of work and conflicting priorities. With effective communication skills, you’ll be passionate about forming working relations with a wide range of contacts, and the be able to manage stakeholders with tact and sensitivity. A working knowledge of broadcast standard equipment and audio and data formats regularly used in the production environment would be advantageous.  In addition to managing your own workload, you’ll be able to work independently and as an integral part of a team. With a proactive approach to self-development and be passionate about sourcing new ways of working and improvements in production techniques.
