BBC Northern Ireland graphics department are a key provider of graphics to all genres across BBC NI and network graphics. They provide all of our on screen VR and election graphics as well as live sports graphics. The department is currently going through a growth period with the deployment of our new Studio B graphic solutions both in vision and virtual reality. We are keen to look for talented individuals who can undertake the pressure of delivering live graphics and the creative challenges that broadcast provides.
In this role you will daily be liaising with clients regarding their requirements to assist in meeting structured graphics requests. You will look after the delivery of completed graphics using currently deployed technology for all live and Post produced graphic requirements whilst also preparing such initial work as is necessary to convey the design intention, in the form of working drawings, storyboards and layouts. You will input graphics material to approved templates and preparing captions using the current deployed technology. You will be expected to combine graphics to stack using currently deployed graphics and be responsible for graphic output into programs using currently deployed graphics solution.
Are you the right candidate?
You will have a passion for graphic design and have a minimum of 2 years operational experience in a live graphics environment using graphics packages. You will be used to managing your own time in a pressurized environment and ability to embrace a changing environment, whilst maintaining effectiveness
