Junior Treasury Analyst
We are looking for a Junior Treasury Analyst to join the BBC Treasury team.
Group Treasury is central to the BBC’s management of key financial risks and the provision of appropriate liquidity and banking services globally. This role undertakes many of the operational and risk management processes for BBC and Commercial Businesses within Treasury’s Front Office.
You will ensure that the BBC Group’s cash and liquidity is managed efficiently within policy, ensure there are sufficient funds (sterling and foreign currency) for all businesses on a daily basis and this will involve ascertaining the cash positions with any funds required being borrowed or cash surpluses repaid, maintaining treasury cash forecasts to support short term investment and loan decisions. You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of strong working relationships with divisional finance teams as required across the BBC and Commercial businesses in relation to treasury activities.
As a Treasury Anlayst, you will monitor daily the BBC’s and Commercial businesses’ sterling and foreign currency cash positions through SWIFT and other reports. This includes assisting the Deputy Treasurer (Risk and Operations) in the development and maintenance of SWIFT structures and interfaces and also with the development of relationships with Swift Service Provider. The Treasury Analyst also manages and be responsible for bank account administration across the BBC and Commercial businesses through BAM processes, and provide advice on banking across the BBC Group.
The Ideal Candidate
Within this role it is essential that the right candidate has corporate treasury experience with some reporting, analysis and good numerical skills. You will have experience in daily cash management activities coupled with foreign exchange and money market dealing capabilities.
You will also be experienced in administering bank account mandates and will be familiar with Treasury Management Systems.
