Localisation Operations Coordinator

We have a rare and exciting opportunity available for a Localisation Operations Coordinator to join our Global Operations team, reporting into the Localisation Operations Manager. You will assist in the coordination, commissioning and supply of localised assets (Subtitling, Dubbing, Voice Over, Lectoring) in over 30 Languages for BBC Studios divisions, including the conforming of subtitle files. 

This role is based in London, TVC however we are open to candidates looking outside of this area. This is a hybrid role with the expectations to be able to visit the office 1-2 times per week. 

Role Responsibility

As a Localisation Operations Coordinator, you will assist in the coordination, commissioning and supply of localised assets (Subtitling, Dubbing, Voice Over, Lectoring) in over 30 Languages for BBC Studios divisions.

You will liaise with vendors, clients & internal teams to ensure timely and effective deliveries.  You’ll engage with language houses, setting delivering schedule and tracking progress to ensure all deadlines are covered and quality standards are met; escalating issues to relevant parties, internally and externally.  

You’ll be responsible for the compiling of all Language Versions and manage the relevant databases which allow the sharing of all media/assets relating to language.

You will be responsible for the technical and editorial quality under BBC standards. You will conform subtitle files in-house as and when required.

You will assist in the tracking and monitoring of the localisation spends by leading the purchase orders and invoices processing.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience with Subtitling, Dubbing, Voice Over, Lectoring - ideally working within TV broadcasting, media production or localisation services and have a good working knowledge of the digital environment.

You will have a strong understanding of the media supply chain specifically relating to Language versions and the localisation end to end process. You'll be positive and proactive, confident working to tight deadlines.

You’ll have excellent communication and organisational skills, capable of building productive relationships with external suppliers, internal departments and within the team.

You’ll utilise relationships to deliver shared goals with a sense of passion for addressing continuous improvement, you’ll be empowered to challenge process and committed to developing best practice which supports the delivery of content to our territories.

Project management and Database management experience would be a bonus. You'll have excellent knowledge of Excel and be a quick learner who is keen to learn about new processes.

A second language would be a strong advantage.
