Marketing Coordinator (BBC News & Current Affairs)
BBC News M&A is now recruiting a Marketing Coordinator to join the BBC News Marketing team. The past year has been an extraordinary one for BBC News, with digital product innovation and marketing helping to transform the way we reach audiences to help deliver a wide range of news content across online, social, TV and radio.
The BBC’s Marketing and Audiences (M&A) team help to shape news products, commissioning strategies and editorial propositions informed by audience insight. These are communicated to our audiences through compelling brand strategies, campaigns and audience engagement.
Audiences are at heart of everything we do at the BBC and ensuring that this remains so is the role of our Marketing and Audiences (M&A) teams. The marketing team, working with BBC Audiences, brings the outside in via research and insight and this is the basis of our brand strategies, campaigns and audience engagement.
This is a continuing contract, based in London.
Grade 5 - proposed Band B
As Marketing Coordinator, you’ll work with the Marketing Manager and Marketing Executive in the delivery of multi-media campaigns and marketing content for BBC News.
You will help to deliver creatively outstanding and high quality campaigns that are on brand, on budget and on time with consistency of visual look, brand image, identity and communications messages across all media.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful individual will have a good understanding of the media/broadcast industry or a similar brand facing business. This will be coupled with demonstrable knowledge and experience helping to deliver multi media campaigns through to evaluation. In addition, you will have experience and passion for digital & social marketing including an understanding of digital evaluation metrics.
You will have a proven ability to drive creative innovation with evidenced creative achievements. Additionally, you will be a strong communicator with the ability to establish and manage stakeholder relationships. You will need to be self-motivated, extremely organised, with a passion for innovative marketing techniques but not afraid to ask for help when you need it.
You will need to have a keen interest in News and Current Affairs, as well as proven digital marketing skills and experience.
