Ahead of a massive year of sport, including the Winter Olympics, UEFA Women’s Euro’s, Commonwealth Games and the FIFA World Cup, we are looking for a Marketing Executive to join the BBC Sport marketing team.
Audiences are at the heart of everything we do at the BBC and ensuring that this remains so is the role of the Chief Customer Officer Group. Marketing at the BBC aims to make our organisation more loved and chosen more often in order to provide the best possible value for UK licence fee payers. We’re responsible for brand strategies, campaigns and audience engagement, helping to influence commissioning strategies and editorial propositions, and collaboratively delivering a consistent and compelling Brand and Marketing Strategy for the BBC as a whole.
This a permanent role based at MediaCity in Salford.
As the Marketing Executive you will work on the day to day delivery of outstanding multi-media marketing campaigns. You will develop campaigns from planning through to post-campaign evaluation and work closely with the Audiences, Social Media, Media Planning, Communications and Creative teams.
You will create campaigns that will attract and retain audiences across the BBC portfolio, around our major live events and help shape our approach to approach to a busy year of live sport.
You will also build strong stakeholder relationships with senior stakeholders and as part of a cross functional team.
Are you the right candidate?
To be successful in this role, you will need solid marketing experience ideally gained within broadcast media or within an organisation with comparable levels of complexity to that of the BBC. Importantly you will have an impressive record of creative achievement and driving creative innovation.
You will have a sound understanding of a range of marketing techniques with a proven track record of delivering multi-media creative campaigns for large brands, managing budgets and ensuring resources are used efficiently. You will demonstrate experience working with in house and third party creative partners leading the way in new digital and social media campaigns.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders and teams across the BBC as well as external agencies. This is an exciting, fast moving environment, which requires an organised and proactive Marketing Executive.
You will have a genuine passion for Sport and the role of the BBC.
