PR & Talent Assistant (BBC Children in Need)

We are currently looking for a PR and Talent Assistant, to support the PR and Talent team over the course of the Appeal.
This is a short fixed-term role to cover the BBC Children in Need Appeal from 25 September to 1 December 2017.

We are looking for a PR and Talent Assistant to join the BBC Children in Need PR Team to help raise the Charity’s profile across all media over the course of its Annual campaign. This is a temporary role based in London.
BBC Children in Need is the BBC’s UK Charity and supports projects working with disadvantaged children and young people in the UK. Our vision is that every child in the UK has a safe, happy and secure childhood and the chance to reach their potential.
As PR and Talent Assistant, reporting to the PR Officer (TBC), you will assist on the implementation of the press and publicity plan for BBC Children in Need. You will play a key support role within the press office function, working both reactively and proactively. You will provide administrative support for both Press and Talent, including the monitoring of coverage, support in the engagement of talent, and assist in the compilation of PR materials for a breadth of media campaigns.
The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will need experience of working in a PR role, providing administrative support to a team in a challenging and fast moving environment.
In addition to being organised with strong time management skills, you will be able to prioritise effectively.
You will need copywriting experience and experience of social media/digital PR is desirable.
