We are looking for a Producer to help the Series Producers and the team continue to make this brilliant and fun content for our diverse audience.

Please note that the working week for this role runs from Tuesday to Saturday, you must be able to fulfil this as part of your contract.
We are looking to recruit a Producer who has proven experience in delivering fantastic, entertaining, studio comedy content and is able to oversee the production process from ideas development to delivery.
Working closely with the Series Producers to innovate the programme into surprising new directions
Running regular content brainstorms to ensure we deliver high quality, fun and ambitious ideas in each programme.
Leading by example by being full of amazing content ideas suitable for our diverse CBBC audience.
Writing elements of the programme script each week, including comedy sequences.
Script Editing the AP and Researchers work to ensure a consistent tone and quality in each script.
Producing the presenter’s performances on the studio floor and ensuring the rest of the Production Team are working effectively in this environment.
Managing AP’s and Researchers.
To work in conjunction with the Series Producers, research team, production management team, crew and contributors to deliver programmes of the highest quality and demonstrate meticulous planning and organisational skills.
The successful post holder(s) must use time and resources efficiently in order to achieve maximum productivity within deadlines and budgets, take a thorough and methodical approach to work, whilst being able to respond flexibly to changes.
They must also possess the capability to work on several projects simultaneously
Overseeing and approving VT inserts for the show.
The Ideal Candidate
Experience working as a Producer in a busy, live studio environment.
Experience and confidence in developing children’s entertainment content ideas, as well as scripting and script editing.
Experience managing teams.
Excellent planning and organisational skills, particularly when faced with tight deadlines.
You should have experience of working with on-screen Talent and Presenters.
Knowledge and understanding of the CBBC audience and Mash-Up brand
Excellent knowledge of the output of BBC Children's brands on all platforms and an awareness of children’s content from other broadcasters.
Should have knowledge of and interest in contemporary culture, comedy and entertainment particularly affecting children. Should also have an up-to-date understanding of CBBC’s diverse audiences and their needs and expectations and use this to help shape creative and engaging output, whilst considering the constraints governing suitability of content.
Excellent scripting, structuring and story-telling skills and strong editorial judgement.
With a strong sense of humour, write entertaining and original scripts for items.
Be aware of legal and rights issues relating to content, as well as specific areas such as data protection.
