We have a fantastic opportunity for a Producer/Director to join BBC Three

Role Responsibility

The Producer/Director will create and deliver outstanding, innovative and experimental digital content for a collaboration between BBC Three and BBC Entertainment’s big brand titles including Strictly, The Apprentice and Dragon’s Den

Working to the Executive Producer, you will be involved in generating and researching ideas for digital content, pitching these to Commissioners and Execs and taking editorial responsibility for the planning and effective production of content for multiple platforms.  You will manage the production and editorial tone of video, text, images and audio.

You will be able to work autonomously as well as lead, inspire and help develop the production team working with you.

Are you the right candidate?

We are looking for a highly experienced Producer/Director with a strong track record of producing and directing entertaining and engaging content and an understanding of creating content for digital platforms. You will be brimming with ideas, pitching to create content for fast turnaround output as well as longer planned strands.

The ideal candidate will be an avid consumer of flagship entertainment series and have experience in setting formats for Fact Ent productions.

You will self-shoot to an exceptional standard and have several broadcast credits in this role working with production teams for broadcast on digital or linear television platforms. You will also be able to edit to a good standard and use graphics packages to create a wide range of social first content in the form of Gifs, memes and tweets, as well as short form AV. The ideal candidate will understand effective optimisation for digital content across a range of social platforms.

You will be an excellent communicator, self-motivated and organised, able to manage multiple deadlines and important stakeholders and priorities across a dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in pitching to, or working directly with, channel commissioners.
