Production Coordinator - TV & Content
The Production Co-ordinator will act as the focal point for BBC repeats working closely with BBC channel schedulers. For occasional archive reversioning commissions you will, co-ordinate various production functions including providing support to the Unit Manager/Junior Production Manager & Producer in securing and managing the arrangements for all the resources needed for the production.
Your primary responsibility is managing the logistics and delivery of repeat programming. On occasion we are commissioned to create new archive content. For this you will deliver first-class production management that will enable our team to create fabulous content seamlessly. You’ll use your expertise and initiative to create and maintain accurate, thorough and professional business management processes and procedures.
You will ensure that productions and output are delivered to budget, whilst maximising value for money, managing all related risks and issues, and ensuring that all content and production is accurately measured and reported in a timely fashion.
You’ll drive innovation, change and ensure continuous improvements are implemented throughout the production process.
The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role it’s important in your application you demonstrate your strong production management experience, first-class knowledge of production management systems & processes and the ability to develop new ones where necessary.
You must have an excellent knowledge and understanding of rights clearance, reporting and post-production paperwork. An understanding of Indie Licences, packages, pre terms of trade and Talent agreements is desirable. You will have an understanding of programme scheduling. You will be financially savvy with an understanding of how production finances work.
You will have the ability to remain calm, organised and focused while under pressure and have excellent problem solving skills. It goes without saying that you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to influence others towards your new processes in place. You must be familiar across the Microsoft Office Suite, with demonstrable competence in Outlook, Word and Excel.
It would be desirable if you had previous working experience of ACON, Silvermouse, Fabric, OnAir, My Business and SAP or something similar.
