Production Management Assistant Register
BBC Northern Ireland is compiling a Register of Production Management Assistants
BBC NI delivers programming in various genres, Factual, Current Affairs, Sport, Digital and Learning, Irish Language, Radio and Development. We are therefore looking for individuals with skills in any of these disciplines.
We are looking for high-calibre individuals who will relish being part of a busy production team. Working primarily with the Production Manager and the Production Coordinators the Management Assistant will assist administratively in accordance with the demands of an ever changing broadcasting environment.
The Production Management Assistant is a central point of contact and must be able to work well on their own initiative and be confident about when to refer up.
The Production Management Assistant will fully support the production team in all aspects of the production including complex travel arrangements and logistics, production paperwork, office management and supporting the whole team in the office or location when required.
You must be able to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and conflicting demands effectively to meet deadlines in what is often a pressurised environment. The role requires a ‘can do’, proactive approach to being a key member of a busy team.
Are you the right candidate?
You will have experience working in an administrative environment. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as business and finance skills. You will be happy to work in a pressurised and challenging environment and have strong organisational and planning skills and experience of managing conflicting priorities and meeting deadlines. You will have had experience of working for more than one manager within a large and diverse organisation, handling confidential information with tact and sensitivity. You will be an excellent administrator with experience of maintaining office and administrative systems and of devising new systems or improvements to existing ones, where appropriate.
You will be a resourceful, resilient and flexible team worker managing relationships effectively and working collaboratively within a diverse team.
