Project Manager, BBC Global News Ltd
This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of the world's leading news and media organisations on a portfolio of award-winning, global, consumer-facing websites and products. The Project Manager will be a key member of a vibrant agile development team looking to turn great ideas into engaging digital products while maintaining and improving existing codebases.

This role requires significant project experience in delivering high performance websites and web applications and experience of working within an Agile software development environment (Scrum) is required.
The project manager will work closely with product owners and business stakeholders to agree project objectives and ensure effective delivery of high quality commercialised digital products. They will manage multiple complex digital projects and be responsible for removing obstacles or blockers to progress and facilitate project meetings with the team where required.
The role will define objectives, plan resources and budgeting as well as track, co-ordinate and manage specific key strategic projects. Reporting on both a high level and at a more detailed level is required
Are you the right candidate?
This position will need you to be comfortable managing multiple project teams (monitoring progress, managing risk and resource). The role will necessitate working closely with stakeholders across News, Sport and the wider BBC, and excellent communication and inter-personal skills are key requirements; as is the ability to bridge domain specialism and business through user-friendly language.
Expertise in agile development processes will be highly desirable. Experience of project management and collaboration tools are desired.
Knowledge of the BBC and/or media sector is desired, but not required for this role.
