Runner - Freelance Talent Pool
BBC NI are looking for passionate and focused candidates to join their freelance runners pool!
Runners are an integral member of the production team, performing important tasks in the office, around the set and on location. If successful you will be put on the database for upcoming opportunities in our sites in Belfast and Derry/Londonderry.
We are specifically looking for candidates with a passion for journalism and sport to work alongside our award winning news and sport teams.
Within an office environment your duties will typically include;
- Acting as a point of contact for BBC staff and external guests and contributors
- Filing/distributing paperwork and data entry
- Arranging meals, and transportation for artists/crew
When you’re on set/location or in studio your duties will typically include;
- Acting as a courier by distributing call sheets, health and safety notices etc
- Helping to ensure correct facilities are available
- Assisting with members of the public, contributors and On-Screen Talent
- Taking calls from members of the public
Are you the right candidate?
As the ideal candidate you will be able to use IT proficiently and have excellent communication skills. You will have experience of working as part of a team and the ability to be resilient when facing pressure.
No experience in running is necessary, applicants will be asked to complete 2 questions in their application and there is no need to upload a CV.
