Senior Content Producer (x2), InHouse Interactive, BBC Children's
BBC Children’s In-House Productions is looking for two Senior Content Producers, one within Animation and Comedy Brands, and the other within Factual and Entertainment Brands, that deliver digital experiences for In-House brands and shows.
Working to the Digital Lead, In-House Productions, and alongside Linear Production teams in our Factual Formats, you will lead on the production of commissioned In House content for BBC Children’s digital platforms.
As Senior Content Producer for InHouse Interactive you will look after a portfolio of commissioned content for In-House brands for all ages. You’ll work closely with linear productions, core interactive, technical and design teams to ensure that our brands’ digital presence exceeds audience expectations, while delivering on BBC Children’s objectives.
As a Senior Content Producer for Animation & Comedy would look after brands such as Go Jetters, Danger Mouse, Class Dismissed and Bitz & Bob, whilst the Senior Content Producer for Entrainment & Factual would look after brands such as The Dengineers, Something Special, Beyond Bionic and Swashbuckle.

The Senior Content Producers in In-House Interactive will be part of a forward thinking and dynamic team, ensuring to build and maintain effective relationships with a wider range of teams; from linear productions, marketing, scheduling to Design & Engineering and UK. You'll feed into and assist with the delivery of ideas, and encourage and promote effective work practices as part of a strong and proactive team.
You'll lead production on in-house commissioned content (short form video/social/interactive experiences), interactive development and prototyping.
You'll work closely with colleagues in production Management to ensure all aspects of the production are carefully planned, and both meeting high standards of editorial guidelines and vision as well as meeting strict deadlines and budget requirements.
You'll produce and deliver high quality, innovative and distinctive interactive and on-demand content and services which maximise reach and value for money and meet the audience need.
You'll manage a combination of Content Producers, Assistant Content Producers and Researchers and encourage creativity and innovation amongst the team.
You'll collaborate with Marketing, TV Presentation and Scheduling to ensure appropriate marketing, publicity and promotion of CBBC / CBeebies new interactive products across our services.
You'll also ensure that BBC output reflects the diverse nature of our audiences.
Are you the right candidate?
The ideal candidate will have previous interactive production experience at a senior level and be able to take ideas from concept to delivery. They'll have knowledge of TV production processes and have an ability to communicate effectively with production teams.
You'll have a passion and knowledge for BBC Children's output, and understand the trends and needs of our audience. You'll also understand the issues surrounding Children such as safety issues online, and child data protection, as well as an appreciation of usability and accessibility issues across various platforms.
You'll have outstanding editorial judgement and have demonstrable experience of managing and deliver multiple projects to tight deadlines and on budget.
Strong negotiation and management skills and key, and you'll be able to effectively communicate across a wide array of internal and external teams.
