Are you the right candidate?

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background in a senior journalistic role with evidence of field production experience.  You will have first class knowledge of news that appeals to an African audience.  A broadcast-level of English, written and spoken, is essential.  You will have notable experience of working across multi-platforms including TV, digital and radio.  You will have a wide range of contacts in your network.  In addition, you must have evidence of producing high-impact stories.  Knowledge of creating TV news programmes to the highest editorial standards is important.  You will have an in-depth knowledge of news and stories related to the East Africa region, with a full understanding of its history, politics, social and cultural issues.  A thorough understanding of the latest developments in storytelling is key.
