Senior Journalist Team Manager
If you are passionate about news based in North East Scotland and want to lead a team of top-level journalists then we’re looking for your skills.
The Senior Journalist Team Manager needs to have first-class news and editorial judgement, a knowledge of the Scottish news agenda and an understanding of how to maximise output across TV, radio and digital.
Please note: This role includes shift work.
The post holder will work to the Newsgathering Editor and will be responsible for the editorial control of stories in the North East. This role has formal managerial responsibility for staff in Aberdeen and Dundee.
The Ideal Candidate
You should have substantial broadcast journalism experience with demonstrable ability to lead a team and contribute ideas and support to the overall management of the site, its team, finances and agenda.
A high standard of editorial judgment, writing ability and production skills coupled with an In-depth knowledge of the Scottish news agenda and of Scotland’s political system is essential.
You should be able to display positive team working skills and have the ability to resolve conflicts.
