You'll work mainly maintaining our broadcast systems but will sometime help to install new systems and offer technical advice and support to colleges that create Online, TV, and Radio programmes for the BBC in Yorkshire and further afield. You’ll usually be based our studios in Leeds but may occasionally need to travel to our other sites in Yorkshire.
You’ll maintain our Broadcast Technology across all platforms. You will need to be a good people person and have the ability to explain how things work to non-technical people.
The Ideal Candidate
We need someone who knows about IT Systems and it would be an advantage to know about Broadcast Systems or have the ability to learn about them. You will be part of a small team that that works across the day and into the evening on a shift basis.
You'll have good knowledge of IT Systems and the passion to develop technical solutions to help colleagues create captivating stories on air and on social media.
You’ll be the sort of person who knows what technology is out there and how it could be used in our industry.
Some broadcast technology experience is helpful, but not essential, any coding and software writing skills would be a bonus. There is a formal job description attached to this advert, but rest assured that your creativity, passion for technology and people skills are most important for this role. Contract: 12 Month FTC/Attachment
