Senior Presenter - Radio Guernsey

Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

Job Introduction

We're looking for a creative and versatile senior presenter to join our team at BBC Radio Guernsey. You'll have the skills and personality to be able to reflect life in the island in a fun and engaging way with music and entertainment.

Even if we say so ourselves, Guernsey has got to be one of the best places to live and work. You're never more than ten minutes from the sea and we have some of the best beaches in the British Isles. Guernsey isn't part of the UK or the EU – it's a self-governing Crown Dependency.

Role Responsibility

Our programmes combine a mix of news, conversation, music and entertainment and you'll need to weave them all together seamlessly. We are building a team that is creative and innovative with tonnes of personality so you’ll need to be a team player who is capable of taking on air instruction and direction. You will work alongside a producer and be instrumental in the production process, coming up with creative ideas, original stories and features. You'll also proactively work with colleagues in TV and digital to ensure we're sharing our content with the biggest possible audience in the most effective way.

The Ideal Candidate

You'll be willing to engross yourself in island life and get across the issues that matter to locals. You'll also be a good people person and know how to get the best from contributors and callers on air. You’ll want to be part of a working environment where we celebrate trying to do things differently, where we innovate and where we have FUN!

As part of your application, you will be asked to submit a link to a demo or showreel that best demonstrates your skills for the role.
