Procurement Assistant, BBC Studioworks

The Procurement Assistant will be working within a busy team environment, responding to constantly changing demands and pressures. This role is primarily to support the procurement function by providing guidance to managers and undertaking a range of administrative duties.
In this role, you will be assisting Senior Management with the administration of tender processes for purchases within the business and providing support to internal stakeholders and customers on a range of procurement activities. You’ll be the first point of contact for all relevant payment enquiries and deal with general queries on policies and processes. Other duties will include raising purchase orders, matching, checking and coding invoices, setting up of new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details. You will be involved in reviewing systems and processes, making improvements where necessary and running reports to aid in scoping requirements, identifying savings and improving contract compliance.
Are you the right candidate?
You will have experience working in a Procurement department and an understanding of procurement processes, together with a good knowledge of purchase to pay process, policies and systems. Demonstrable administrative experience including accurate record keeping and maintaining databases’ together with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft packages such as Excel and Word and are essential. Experience of producing financial spreadsheets and a good knowledge of SAP and/or other purchasing systems would be advantageous
